Tokyo Tea Room are the psych pop lovechild of Canterbury natives Daniel Elliott and Ben Marshallm together with a few of their pals. Melodic bass lines pummel against potent and hypnotic guitar riffs to create a soulful sound full of buzz. They’ve lately been experimenting with synths and electronica, moving their sound from lo-fi and understated to modern sophistication. Taking inspiration from their hometown, local countryside, and whatever life throws at them, Daniel writes, records and produces with the band behind the walls of his studio Roswell Recordings. Dreamy and delicious. Their next single Things Are Changing will be out on 27th September and the EP is due on 29th November. For now, here’s Always Tomorrow.
