Gentle rhythms, sparse beats, simple synths and an enveloping aura make up Moon at the Peak by Sis. A mix of the early brooding R’n’B coupled with a forward looking electronic feel, full of sexy futurism and dreamy jamming, it’s the first song from album Gas Station Roses.
Gas Station Roses is about, in lead musician, singer and founder Jenny Gillespie Mason’s words, ‘desiring life so badly still as a grown-up, getting the joy and beauty in big gulps, but also recognizing its limitations, corruptions, and sadness, more than I ever would as a child. And in the face of that, choosing to smile and stay awake to the beauty around us.’
