Moringa miracles

A recent birthday saw me tip from young to definitely entering the ‘real adult’ category. And with the birthday wishes seems to have come a whole raft of wrinkles. Keen to take care of my skin but without filling it with chemicals, I investigated the natural oil of Moringa. Extracted from the seeds of Moringa oleifera, also known as the Drumstick tree, this nutrient-dense oil is famous for its anti-aging properties and even mentioned in ancient Greek and Roman texts.

Wikaniko grow Moringa on their farm in Spain and are passionate about keeping it as pure as possible. They use no pesticides or chemicals, strip the plants by hand, clean with osmosis treated water and air dry naturally. We hear of so many products sitting on shelves and transit for days, but Wikaniko’s Moringa gets from farm to fulfilment in less than eight hours.

The benefits are numerous. Anti-inflammatory and cleansing, it’s great for acne and blackhead prone skin, whilst its rich and nourishing formula makes it an ideal moisturiser. Scarring can be reduced and wounds healed quicker.

Filled with essential amino acids, vitamin A, vitamin B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B-6, folate and ascorbic acid (vitamin C), calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and zinc, it’s also a great food supplement. But what you put on your body sometimes matters just as much as what goes in it.
