Orlando Seale & The Swell – Filthy Hope

Hope and positivity can sometimes feel a bit dirty. More like delusion and denial, rather than glimmers of future change. This stomping orchestral rush traverses the sense of vivacity and ambition that can coexist with delicate and simmering uncertainty, fusing together bounding orchestral sounds with articulate lyrics and a thumping beat. Actor Orlando Seale kicked off his music career with a breakup, migration – and Elliot Smith’s old guitar, but has transcended such potentially inhibiting factors with his union with the Swell. Filthy Hope is to be released alongside All Of The Dogs as a double a-side single on March 23rd, with a two-night residency at The Sebright Arms on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th of March, with support from Ajimal and Hawk respectively.
