Ligers – Break You

Side A of AA single Break You / Goodbye this is a catchy and convivial sounding tune, one that you realise is deceptively upbeat when you listen closely to the horribly accurate lyrics speaking of lovers who are liars. Liz Stott (the band were formally known as Liz & The Lifers) has a very distinctive vocal style, shifting and authentic. The band have a self confessed love of sixties psychedelic bands and nineties Britpop, and in this song have brandished their influences via their own style.

For reference – a liger is the result of a randy lion getting friendly with a nearby tiger.
