Bored Nothing – Echo Room

8th April via Spunk Records/Cooperative Music

Rough Trade apparently know their stuff so when they make Bored Nothing‘s album Echo Room their album of the week, it is probably worth listening to. Flirting and fluxing its way through hopscotching guitars, this is a steadfastly shoegaze inspired piece of work, inspired by the 80s and 90s DIY rock. True to the name, Bored Nothing was born out of a desire to distract and create, with Fergus Miller being the only constant in an ever changing journey and crowd. Blissfully lackadaisical  and almost sinfully catchy, the jangling rhythms and tantalizing fuzz make for a slice of grubby delight.
