This has been the year from street parties. From one old woman celebrating sitting on her chair for sixty years, to a bunch of people running around chasing balls (I have loved each and very minute of both by the way) this has been a summer to celebrate in good old fashioned British style. Get the friends together, get the beers in, and get everything you love in one place.
The Book Club, one of London’s coolest bars is bringing back Bookstock on August 26th, one of the best Sundays of the year – cos you don’t have to go to work on the Monday. There’ll be plenty of dancing on the menu, with a silent disco from Disco Shed, 90s hip hop and R&B courtesy of DJ Emly Rawson, and the Fleetmac Wood themed dj collective, Fleetmac Wood, offering up a party of epic proportions.
Live music comes courtesy of folk trio We Were Evergreen and the eclectic Bikini Beach Band, and will supported in the fun stakes by face painting, a dressing up competition, and goody bags. Make sure you go hungry, as Burkowski Grill will be serving up their limited Edition Bookstock Burger.
