The I.D. play Gifts For Givers @ The Good Ship 28 April 2011

Yes I’m a sucker for cheekbones, le francais style floppy hair and a blazer. But the real reason that The I.D. rock my little socks off is that I’m a sucker for tunes that have the sharpness of Interpol and the emotional intensity of Joy Division, vocals that add another layer rather than merely repeat the killer melodies, and buzzing sinuous riffs that entrap the listener.

Check out for some live recordings of ‘Still And On The Go’ and ‘Pleasure To Regret’, from The Switch’s Gifts For Givers Royal Wedding stag do, a right royal knees up if we ever saw one, and pop back soon for reviews of The Switch and Kazuki, who also played the night. Once the hangover’s waned a little.
